Who is Maleno?
Julio Daniel Frias Adame, also known as Maleno, developed his soccer career with border teams like Soles and Astros de Ciudad Juárez (Second and Third Divisions), Tigrillos (First Division A), El Paso Patriots (A-League and PDL), and Cobras (First Division A). After leaving Cobras in 2003, he sought opportunities but eventually moved to Texas. In 2006, Indios called him for a friendly match against Santos Laguna. Coach Alfonso Sosa invited him to join the team without pay, as registration had closed, but he declined. In 2007, he officially joined Indios de Juárez, winning the Apertura 2007 and the 2007-08 Ascenso Final, earning promotion to the First Division. He debuted in Mexico's top league in 2008, playing against Tecos. In the 2009 Clausura, he contributed five goals and one assist, helping Indios reach the semifinals before losing to Pachuca. After Indios were relegated in 2010, he joined Jaguares de Chiapas in 2011, scoring two goals. He also scored in the Copa Libertadores against Jorge Wilstermann. In the 2011-2012 season, he returned to Indios de Juárez in the Liga de Ascenso, but the team was disbanded in 2011, marking the end of his career.
